You’ve built Hemingway’s boat. It seems only fair to let him aboard.

Developed by Herb of Herb Figures specifically for the Model Shipways Pilar, this three-piece resin figure set brings Ernest Hemingway, his wife Mary Welsh Hemingway, and longtime skipper Gregorio Fuentes aboard your finished model.

Hemingway measures 2-1/2" tall, perfectly scaled for the 1:30 Pilar. Hemingway and Gregorio stand ready on deck, while Mary’s relaxed seated pose completes a scene with the boat’s most familiar company.

Herb’s craftsmanship gives each miniature its own personality. Expressive faces, carefully sculpted hands, natural poses, and convincing folds in the clothing reward a close look—and a little attention with a paintbrush. From Hemingway’s distinctive beard to the details of shirts, caps, and belts, these figures bring remarkable character to a small space.

Your Pilar already has a story. Now it has the people who lived it.
