The Legendary Norton Manx

Norton Motors was founded in 1898 by James Lansdowne Norton, but the company's racing reputation began to grow dramatically after Rem Fowler's victory at the Isle of Man TT in 1907.

Norton's competition success became particularly impressive during the 1930s, when the company won 78 of 92 Grand Prix races between 1930 and 1937. After World War II, Norton developed the Manx specifically for racing, creating a motorcycle that would become synonymous with British motorcycle competition. 

Born for the Isle of Man TT

The Manx takes its name from the legendary Isle of Man TT, one of the most demanding motorcycle races in the world.

Unlike ordinary road motorcycles, the Manx was created with one purpose in mind: racing. Its engineering was adapted to cope with high-speed competition, demanding corners and the unique challenges of the TT circuit.

The Featherbed Frame

One of the most important features of the Manx was its revolutionary Featherbed double-cradle frame.
