Instead, she was used for escort duty and to transport important persons and messages.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBased on original Admiralty plans, Corel's kit replicates the \u003cem\u003eH.M.S. Peregrine\u003c\/em\u003eafter a late 17\u003csup\u003eth\u003c\/sup\u003e century overhaul, when her small spritsail-topsail mast was replaced by the jib boom as an extension of the bowsprit.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ePlank-on-bulkhead construction features laser cut wooden parts and double planked hull. Highly detailed cast metal parts are used for ornamentation, anchors, mast caps, chainplates, gunport frames and other details. Burnished metal cannon provide fire-power. Hardwood blocks and deadeyes, brass nails, three diameters of rigging, silk-screened flags and pennants, cotton sailcloth are also included.
